Product Details

Description:
Stationary 4-jaw steel chuck for centric workpiece holding on drilling and milling machines.

Material:
Steel.

Version:
- Contact faces on base ground.
- Jaw plates hardened and ground.

Function / Note:
- Flexible arrangement of hard and soft jaws permits different workpiece sizes and shapes to be held on the outside or inside faces.
- Take note of the jaw numbers when mounting.
- Chuck is precision ground; W, X, Y and Z tolerances between the jaws are within 0.05 mm.
- Repeat accuracy with centric clamping and hard jaws is within 0.02 mm.
- Movable jaw bases are driven by the internal scroll plate.
- Rotation of the pinion transfers force through the scroll plate and produces synchronous inward or outward jaw movement.
- Regular lubrication is required; inadequate lubrication causes excessive wear and reduced clamping force.

Advantages:
- Centric-clamping repeat accuracy: 0.02 mm.
- Flat design.
- For drilling and milling machines.
- Precision-ground body.
- Optimum accessibility to the lubrication system.
- Wide chuck bore for holding bar material.
- Actuated using a hex key for quick and easy operation.
- Soft jaws can also be attached to the jaw bases.

Supplied With:
Tightening key.

Accessories:
Soft steel jaw set: K1838.2154.
