For splitting irreversibly jammed, rusty or over-tightened nuts with a tensile strength of up to 800 N/mm^2 without damaging the threaded pin. The two faceted cutting edges penetrate the nut as the spindle is tightened; the double splitting effect completes the operation in one working step.
